J&H Fit Kit

Size Matters!

If you already know your UK ring size, simply choose it from the options menu on the build your ring page. If not, there are a few ways to measure.

  • Visit a local jeweller. This is the most accurate method and is highly recommended.
  • Use a ring sizing gauge if you have one.
  • Measure at home using a or printable sizer as guide. Least accurate method.

To help ensure your finished ring fits exactly as expected, I’ll send you a set of three precision machined sizing rings called a fit kit.

You will receive:

  • Your requested size
  • One size smaller
  • One size larger
  • All rings have a curved inner comfort fit profile as standard
  • All rings will have a flat outer profile (decide later if you’d like flat or curved)
  • All rings will be 6mm wide which is average (decide later if you’d like it wider or narrower)

Wear each sizing ring for a while and choose the one that feels most comfortable before your final ring is made. This gives you confidence that your bespoke ring will fit just the way you expect it to.

Profile Types

The profile of a ring changes far more than its appearance, it affects how the ring feels every time you wear it.

Some people prefer the clean, modern feel of a flat band, while others like the softer feel of a comfort fit profile. Every sizing ring is machined to match the inner profile of your final ring, allowing you to experience exactly how it will feel before it’s made.

Ring width is a personal choice

My rings are typically between 4 mm and 8 mm wide, although wider and narrower designs are also possible. Rather than recommending widths based on gender, I believe the perfect ring is simply the one that feels right for you. Some people prefer a bold, substantial ring, while others favour a slimmer, more understated design. There is no right or wrong choice—only the one that suits your style and feels comfortable to wear.

The fit kit rings are all 6mm as this is about average. Once you try the rings on you can tell if you’d prefer it wider or narrower. Each one with have a flat outer diameter but your final ring choice could be curved.

Next Steps

Once you have decided your fit and width you must send the fit kit back in the pre-paid package provided with your choices highlighted on the check sheet. You will then receive a link to continue with your order and checkout will alert me to start producing your ring.
